Who we are
No one leads by doing what everyone else does. Custom application development empowers organizations to capture unique data and implement distinctive processes for competitive differentiation. As every federal agency advances toward its implementation of the national Cloud Smart Strategy, each must consider its options to migrate legacy apps into commercial cloud environments. We are driven by our unique company culture and highly collaborative environment to support federal agencies in fulfilling their mission.
We believe it’s all about taking care of our customers, and to always seek the win-win. Making money is like breathing – essential to survive – but, “the purpose of business is to get and keep customers.” (Peter Drucker)
We are driven by our unique company culture and highly collaborative environment to support federal agencies in fulfilling their mission.
Our
Values
We care about the work we do, how we do it, and for whom. Our values are the cornerstone from which we operate.
COMPANY CULTURE
TEAM & HISTORY
Ikeda Innovations was birthed in 2019, but the history of their team starts much before then. Founder, Kevin Ikeda and Director of Software Development, Jacob Smith worked together at SAIC and both started their own companies...

KEVIN’S RESUME
1985-1993
Lync Systems
Co-founder
With thoughts that the advent of MTV and the Musicial Instrument Digital Information (MIDI) would move the keyboardist to the front of the stage, Kevin and his team built a keytar prototype, sent it to a big name band’s rehearsal and received positive feedback. Thus began Lync Systems in 1985 to design and build over-the-shoulder keyboard controllers also known as keytars. They attracted high six figures of private investment, and sold to musicians with top bands. Kevin told his Dad, “I may have earned a masters in EE, but I earned a Ph.D. in business from the University of Hard Knocks.”
1993-1997
Fischer & Porter
Senior Software Engineer
Kevin went upstairs to the marketing/sales department. His goal was to learn for whom he was designing the next product and why they needed it. Here he learned valuable information and insights in how to satisfy the customer.
1997-1998
InfoSolv Corporation
Director, Product Development
IT consulting startup company
1998-2019
SAIC
Java Developer | Program Manager | VP Division Manager | VP Software Practice
As VP of Software Solutions, Kevin led the software practice of 2,700+ employees, 170+ contracts in 90+ locations spanning DoD and Federal Civilian customers. He and his team developed and executed software modernization strategy across five technology directors. They also introduced innovations in recruiting, retention, and workforce development, exceeding revenue by $30M and headcount by 250. He shepherded internal R&D programs in three strategic technologies, introduced innovations to the college recruiting approach, and rolled out ubiquitous training program for major upskill across workforce.
