We are pleased to announce our participation in a new five-year engagement supporting the delivery of mission-critical cloud solutions for the Department of War (DoW).
Ikeda Innovations (2i), this engagement represents more than a new opportunity. It reflects the trust placed in our people, our engineering expertise, and our ability to support customers operating in some of the most demanding technology environments.
At 2i, we believe trust is earned through two essential qualities: competence and character. Together, they shape how we solve complex problems, build lasting partnerships, and deliver value to our customers.
At 2i, we believe trust is earned through two essential qualities: competence and character. Together, they shape how we solve complex problems, build lasting partnerships, and deliver value to our customers.
Engineering Experience That Earns Trust
Mission-critical cloud environments demand more than technical knowledge. They require engineering experience gained through real-world implementation, operational discipline, and a deep understanding of customer missions.
Over the years, our engineers have designed, deployed, and operated secure Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments supporting mission-critical government workloads. That experience has resulted in battle-tested OCI Accelerators, secure Infrastructure-as-Code practices, and engineering patterns refined through production deployments.
These capabilities were not developed in a lab. They were built by solving real customer challenges—accelerating secure cloud adoption, reducing implementation risk, improving operational resilience, and simplifying the deployment of complex environments that customers can rely on.

Competence Meets Character
Engineering experience proves its value when customers need results from day one.
Throughout the transition into the new engagement, our team maintained continuity, quickly established momentum, and kept customer priorities moving forward despite compressed timelines.
Our ability to deliver under pressure begins long before an engagement starts.
We build teams with deep expertise in cloud architecture and security, while recognizing the character, ownership, and commitment required to deliver lasting value for our customers.
One of our engineers exemplifies that philosophy. We recognized his distinctive combination of cloud engineering experience, practical strengths, character, and potential. Knowing where he would contribute most, we entrusted him with the right opportunity and empowered him to take ownership.
The results validated our approach.
During a Secure Cloud Computing Architecture (SCCA) network enhancement, he developed the engineering solution for the assigned scope. At the last minute, the customer unexpectedly expanded the cybersecurity validation from the original engineering changes to all OCI zones.
Despite the substantially broader review, his solution achieved Authority to Operate (ATO), entered production, and the engineering design was later adopted by another cloud team.
That same culture was evident during the transition.
Our senior engineer voluntarily assumed a triage role to coordinate work and accelerate issue resolution, even though the role was never part of the contract. He recognized the need for stronger coordination and stepped forward to help ensure customer priorities continued moving forward.
At 2i, ownership means accepting responsibility beyond the job description whenever it helps the customer succeed. This mindset kept work moving, reinforced accountability across the team, and ensured customer priorities remained the focus.
The examples mentioned above demonstrate how competence and character come together in practice. It is through this combination that we continue to earn our customers’ trust and deliver lasting value.

Looking Ahead
As mission environments become more interconnected and technology evolves at an accelerating pace, solving tomorrow’s challenges will require more than applying yesterday’s solutions.
It requires first-principles thinking—challenging conventional thinking, examining problems at their core, and designing solutions around fundamental mission needs rather than relying solely on precedent.
At 2i, we believe this mindset will become increasingly important as defense organizations modernize their digital capabilities while responding to increasingly complex mission, security, and operational requirements. Our role is not only to deliver technology, but also to help our customers anticipate change, navigate complexity, and make confident decisions for the future.
Preparing for What’s Next
That same responsibility begins within our own organization.
Preparing our customers for what’s next means continually preparing ourselves—investing in our people, strengthening our engineering capabilities, and thoughtfully embracing technologies such as AI so our teams are ready to solve the next generation of mission-critical challenges.
We are proud to continue supporting this important mission and grateful for the confidence placed in our team. We look forward to continuing to earn that trust through expertise, experience, and execution.
